Level Advisory
Mild Farmers are advised to destroy the aphid affected part along with aphid population (preferably plucked within wet cloth bag) in the initial stage.
Low
  • Aphid population is above ETL, farmers are advised to spray Thiamethoxam 25% WG @ 1 g / l water (around 500-1000 l water/ ha; 15 ml per 15 l sprayer tank).
  • Add 1 spoon full of washing powder or any sticker in the solution before spraying per 15 lit tank.
  • Spraying should be done in the afternoon for avoidance of toxicity to pollinators.
Moderate Looking to the increase in aphid population, farmers are advised to spray
  • Chlorpyrifos 20% EC @ 1 ml / l water (around 500-1000 l water/ ha; 15 ml per 15 l sprayer tank)
or
  • Dimethoate 30% EC @ 1 ml / l water (around 500-1000 l water/ ha; 15 ml per 15 l sprayer tank)
